One thing I have been working on/wondering about is making baby pictures that are more than snapshots like this one from Jeremy Moore. Here is another one by Tom Leininger that was in Fraction Magazine.

Wednesday, August 26th, 2009On Etsy
Wednesday, August 19th, 2009I have a page on Etsy now, where I am selling smaller archival prints. So have a look and if you like what you see, get one!!
If you see something on my site or on flickr that you like but is not listed on Etsy, then let me know and I will sell you the 1st of the edition directly.
These images are the result of a lot of work and thinking. I would like nothing more than to share the fruits of that struggle with you!
New E-mail
Wednesday, August 12th, 2009This is a very boring, practical, but necessary post to let you know that my email has changed! Yes, although I loved timcbest at gmail dot com we had a falling out when I realized that I should be using tim at timcbest dot com. We tried to work things out but in the end I think I made the best decision (no pun intended).
So if you would like to email me, please send it to this address:

Caliente
Monday, August 3rd, 2009The Caliente show is opening this Thursday at the New Orleans Photo Alliance gallery from 6-9. I will be showing “Ready for Business” (36″ x 24″ on Diebond. Its been awhile since I’ve shown with this group but they are my most favorite organization! The New Orleans Photo Alliance (NOPA) has made New Orleans a hub for photography and photographic arts. They have started a portfolio review that has got a lot of traction in the past couple of years, among other things. Its definitely one of the many organizations that is bucking the idea that New Orleans can’t sustain progress!
I’m glad to be showing with them!

open Friday 3-6, Saturday and Sunday 12-4, and by appointment.
tip top
Saturday, August 1st, 2009Taken in my studio at LA Artworks in New Orleans just as the skies opened up! Not sure what I’m going to do with these, but they are turning out great. I took this with my Canon 5dmII and my vivitar 285hv which broke just before the shoot so I shot while holding the flash. It was only at 1/4th power but it gave me just enough light to counter the windows…
