Tschüss Berlin! for now…

I think it is safe to say my stay in Berlin will have a very deep impact on my practice and myself personally. During my time here I have shot more photographs of people and places, but I also attained a better sense of what I am doing with my Project FLASH.  There are somethings that require some quiet time to allow all the distractions to fade away from my mind and abdicate their power to more important things.  The Institut für Alles Mögliche – Zentrale (IAM) has been a wonderful place to do this. I have had the space to go where my impulses take me but also the contact with other artists and curators that I need. I am very grateful for what they have provided and I think I have established some new longstanding relationships here.  I have also reinforced relationships I already had given all those brilliant individuals from Dallas in Berlin.  One Idea that has been reinforced by coming here is how important it is to get out, do something and give people a chance to respond.  It is surprising how many people are out there looking.  Sometimes all you have to do is show up and do what you want to do.

Thanks to all the work you have done IAM, I can’t wait to see you again!
